The day I first got my 12"PB the screen was perfect, no dead pixel, no nothing, absolutely beautiful, after a couple of months of moderate use, the screen start looking funny. The bottom right half of the screen is brighter than the top left half, no matter how I adjust the brightness. when I dim the screen, the top-left corner looks bluish whereas the bottom left corner has the yellowish colour, and it is getting worst.

Is this normal or kinda defect? I got my 12" under student discount and 3 year warranty. should I take it back to the local apple centre and let them have a look at it first or call apple directly?

TIA

Obviously it's not normal. You say you have AppleCare, if that's the case then Apple will collect it, repair it and send it back to you.

I have a similar problem with my 6-month-old 12" PB except that mine is somewhat dim in a parabolic pattern from the bottom left half of the screen about halfway up the display. It seems to be worst when I first wake it up and it then gets better as I use it. I'm hesitant to send it into Apple because I suspect it'll come back with a note saying that the problem could not be duplicated and I will have lost use of it for a week with nothing to show for it.
