OS 9 -->10.2 what should i know?

	this hot girl i know gave me an offer i couldn't refuse to convert her OS 9 equipped 400MHz G4 to OS X. i have both 10.1 and 10.2 install disks. is there anything i should know or do to prepare her computer for it, or does the install go pretty smooth when going on top of OS 9? i don't think a clean install is an option because she has no means for backing up other than CDs. i just don't want to be unprepared if anything weird happens. much thanks.
