As per topic.Can you install a fresh version (w/o previous OS) of the Panther 29$ CD?
Any thoughts?

Yup, its just the same as the retail Panther CDs, no different.

An apple software tech told me something different. He said that it will be like the jaguar upgrade cds, you will need a previous version of 10.2 installed on the computer you want to upgrade, and then the upgrade cd will clean the drive and install a fresh copy of panther (this is an option to select during setup)

I think the installer just asks you to insert a jaguar cd and then veryfies.
