Does anyone know what Combo drive is shipping in the new iBooks? And is there an RPC-1 firmware flash for it?
I have a pretty diverse collection of DVD's from different regions, and I don't want to lose the ability to watch them or others that I buy.

The RPC-1 patch for the Matshita CW-8122 is out, so one for the Matshita CW-8123 might be coming soon, I hope.

I think VLC (Video Lan Client) will play DVD's without paying attention to your drives region settings... I think...
Check it out if you get stuck.
