I don't think anyone has mentioned this, but the new Activity Monitor in Panther is just to cool. Finally you can easily find out what's going on.
"This is fun, right?"

I agree. Not necessarily a touted feature, but one that I use regularly. It's going to make my life a little easier...

Now at least it gives the same information that TOP does in the terminal.

I'm all about MenuMeters since I discovered it about a week ago. It's located here:

http://www.ragingmenace.com/software...rs/#whatisthis

It puts all the things you want to know up in your menu bar. Man it's so cool. In one glance I can see my network (send/receive) my memory usage, my disk activity (lights!) and my CPU usage.

It's totally configurable and it's just plain old fast and nifty. I think it uses less CPU than activity monitor too. There are a few apps that do what activity monitor does, but MenuMeteres is definitely the king in my book.

Well, with ikey, bluetooth, airport, remote desktop, volume, power and time/date in the menu, mine seems a little crowded for more stuff. I use Netmonitor, LoadinDock and Activity monitor. I have AM setup to show the little pie chart of memory use. If LoadinDock shows a high cpu utilization, then one right-click on AM brings up the activity monitor window. Nice setup. Funcitionally equivalent to top, but prettier and arguably faster to launch.
