Has anyone else who has a similar model noticed that instead of the regular (Jaguar) 2-3 seconds needed for the sleep light to come on when shutting the ibook, to Panthers 10-15 seconds? If further information/times are needed I can provide some.

I just gave a new 700 ibook to my folks over the weekend...from the time I close the lid to the time the little pulsing light comes on is about 3-5 seconds.

My Jaguar installation started to get like that. I think it was an issue with a too much virtual memory allocation or something (it usually happend when Mozilla was bogging down, oh, and when Classic was running).

Now if I had an issue with Panther, it's how long it takes to wake from sleep when a password is required. When I activated the screen saver with Jaguar, it never took as long.
