Yeah yeah yeah I've been reading all of them. I want more though. I'm very picky when buying anything over $40.

I found out now they make a stereo model, but its about $50 more.

Well, can't get much better then 198 reviews; afterall, that's what you are asking for here.

FWIW, I wouldn't go with anything that doesn't have a flat screen and stereo inputs...

1) Flat screen is $300.. I need something thats cheap, this 27" is only $129 and looks like a stylish Sony (kind of).

2) I am planning to use a DVD player with a 5.1 system as my sound source.

Perfect, it sounds like you are set then. I would suggest buying the extended warranty or whatever Circuit City offers and call it good...

Apex? I'm surprised it costs more than $50. Isn't this the company that makes a POS 65" HDTV for like $500? Pretty much the Yugo of consumer electronics manufacturers.

I have an apex 27" flat screen and have had it for a year. It has worked flawlessly and looks pretty darn good. no wega but costs half as much ($250 a year ago). I know you didn't get one but if anyone else wanted to know.

The problem I had with Apex's when I used them for one day and then returned them is that it cut off the bottom and top part of the screen on a Cable connection (about 1/4" inch on top and bottom). This meant on CNN or ESPN2 the ticker at the bottom was half-missing.

Also changing channels took about 2 seconds plus a little extra time for the sound to come in. Not good for a channel surfer like myself.

Walmart had a $99 Siemens 20" (not flat) TV on Thanksgiving Day. It is a good TV, and Siemens has been making incandescent bulbs since 1950!

Also check the $140 27-incher, in Walmart too.

Alright now I'm going for the 27" flat screen Samsung:

http://www.circuitcity.com/detail.js...rk_6&oid=73028

The problem I have been having with the past 3 TV's I purchased is 1) geometry. It would cut off the bottom 1/4" of the screen. 2) changing the channel would take about 2 seconds, too much of a delay for me.
