Should I hear the clicker and alarm through my headphones? I am using non-Apple headphones (Sony MDR-G52) I hear these sounds through the external speaker but not the headphones.

I don't hear the clicking through my headphones either (the Apple earbuds that came with it)...not sure about the alarm. My GF's 3G iPod doesn't click through the headphones either....

My 3G doesn't click through the headphones. Did the older ones?

I haven't tested the alarm yet....

But I personally wouldn't want the clicking noise to come through the headphones...if I'm listening to a song, and want to search for the next one to play, or go check the calander...I don't want *click* *click* *click* *click* *click* playing all loud on top of my songs.

True but what if I want to be reminded of a calendar event? Even at low volume the external speaker is pointless for calendar event sounds. This is my only problem with the mini...otherwise its my best purchase yet.
