Is there any way to get USB 2 on the CRT iMacs possibly through Firewire?

Macally has a USB2+Firewire hub. I dont know if you'll need USB 2 on the system to actually use it, but that's something to look into, no?

The real question is why do you want to use USB 2.0 and not firewire? I recently bought an external usb2/firewire HD case and found that firewire was always faster than usb. I'm still glad I have the usb2 there but only so I can connect to PC's. So what are you trying to connect?

Simply USB 2 devices are cheaper

Arstechnica has a report that they did last week comparing the exact same drives between USB 2 and Firewire. Firewire is significantly faster than USB 2.

What kind of devices are you wanting to buy anyway?
