I can't help asking this silly, highly subjective question...

I'm buying my Brother's 2-month old 1GHz 15", upgrading from a 667 DVI. I'm just wondering if I should expect to be blown away by the increased performance. I don't want to get too hyped up and then be bummed when it arrives next week.

Thanks for reading this dumb question.

I'm going from a 400MHz Ti to a 1.5 GHz Al. I better be blown away!

There are a number of reasons why the 1GHz Al should blow the doors off my 667 DVI. Since nobody is willing to ask my dumb question, I'm just going to assume I will be blown away. If not I'll just sell the SOB on eBay and buy the 1.5.

I'm upgrading from the 667 DVI to 1 Ghz Albook, so we'll see who gets more blown away!

My new book will be here tomorrow before Noon EST, so I'm tying everything down in preparation for being blown away.

Well it's here... Beautiful piece of hardware, awesome really.

As for performance, am I blown away? No. Not yet. It has 256 MB of RAM in it right now, which is pathetic I know. Hopefully the upgrade to 768 MB will give it a kick in the pants.
