So, I got the follwing message [edited]
the image is linked to a private IP address: nobody outside your private network can connect to a 192.168 address. You should put it on a webhosting site, or you have to put in a port-forwarding rule in your router, and use the router's public IP address. The private IP you used has been preventing any page you posted in from loading properly, since the browser is waiting, unsuccessfully waiting to load the image
[end message]

so, how do I make my personal web sharing from 10.3.3 accessable to the general world (or how do I make it so I can host a frikken website locally)
I am on a router (wireless).

Not sure but try this No-IP site -- This should at least give you some sort of an idea how to do it.
Post back with results.

the problem is that I'm running on a private ip address
192.168.2.119 and I need to get a public one from behind a router... so noIP is not working as of yet

You could use port-forwarding with your router...

You can't just "open your ports". You MUST have a firewall and learn about network security first.

So use your firewall, open up a port and port-forward from your router...

can someone explain how to do this (port-forwarding from router) rather than just telling me to do it?

It's different for each router, since they all have different interfaces.
Many routers have an HTTP interface to change their settings. You just look in the manual to see what IP you're supposed to connect to (it'll usually be something like 192.168.1.1 or similar), then you connect to that IP in a web browser. Go to Port Forwarding (or whatever the router calls it - I think my parents' LinkSys called it "Application Support" or something similar), and set it up to forward port 80 to whatever 192.168 address your Mac has. Voil_!
edit: okay, mods, WHY can't I type an 'a' with a grave accent on it in a Mac forum?!

the board software does not seem to have any ability to handle non-standard characters.
