I have a iMac 400 DVD with a fairly new keyboard. Today the keyboard started acting funny. Certain keys wont type and and other keys dont type what they are suppose to. I type the phrase" Certain keys wont type" and I got this "raoibkysbwby"

Any ideas? It just started suddenly. Could it be a bad keyboard? The keyboard is only about 3 months old.

I did the usual. Restart, checked the language etc

Any help would be appreciated

weird. the keys seem to be totally random. have you tried shortcuts, like command-q? also open the open-firmware prompt and type in there to see if the keyboard works correctly.
