Hi all,
I have just got my cube (eBay) and was wondering about an HDD upgrade. Can the cube's ATA/66 bus take an ATA/133 disk? I was thinking of getting a Samsung SpinPoint P80 (120GB/8MB) which is an ATA/133.
From what I've read so far from various FAQ's this should be ok, but transfer rates will be limited to 66MB/sec. Is this correct?
Cheers.

I've never heard of the samsung drive, but when I had my cube I found the seagate barracuda and quiet.

Make sure you have some torx drivers, as that's how the cube's hdd is held in place.

The Samsung drive is installed and working fine. It's VERY quiet. I used Torx T8 to unscrew the heatsink and a T9 to move the plastic runner from the original drive to the replacement.
I also maxed out the RAM to 1.5GB. Now it runs fast and quiet (near silent)
Thanks for the help/advice guys.
