Does Tiger provide support in the Finder for DVD-RW drives that can write the new DL-format? Panther currently does not and hence requires the correct drivers (eg from LaCie) and then Panther only recognised the driver as a standard SL-drive.

Tiger is still under development. The only announced information about Tiger is available at http://www.apple.com/macosx/tiger. Anything beyond that is pure speculation.

Roxio will have a Toast update RSN for this drive, as mine is on order. I would not look for Tiger to have support so early in beta testing.

No, it isn't in beta testing. Beta implies that the feature set is stable. Tiger is much earlier in the development cycle than beta.

Oh sorry, thanks for fixing that for me! That said, Tiger doesn't support it in its current state.
