I'd rather have the bigger sigs than animated ones. Who wants each thread to become full of images as bad as most animated advertisements?

Not blocking, just turning off animation or at least looping. Still annoying, of course, especially considering the speed issues with the new PithHelmet betas.

The easier solution would be to keep the animation guidelines how they are.

Agreed.

I'm getting used to the new sig guidelines...some of them look really nice. And some of us just threw things together for the sake of it; I'll try to make a real sig later.

Actually spent more than 5 minutes (OK, it was 10 this time) on a new sig. Improvement?

You can turn off sigs in your forum prefs. No one has to seen them.

What's the deal with the 200 X 50 ?

Is that pixels or what ?

I made a sig in that size, but it shows up small.

I'm obviously a moron when it comes to sigs, but anybody know why my sig is so damn small ?

This is what the sig size is when linked directly to it.

Why does it shrink, when put into the sig ? It's the same exact one.

Ah, ok, yeah, it was making a thumbnail of it for some reason when it uploaded. I think I have it figured out now. And yes, I know the size was too big. Gonna fix that now.

(edit) - so, after a bunch of uploads and messing around, my sig is finally 200 x 50. It seems the imageuploader site linked to a thumbnail picture in their code, which I pasted into the profile.

Who are you kidding - there wouldn't be 25% content if you took away all the sigs.

The size constraints (esp. filesize) should keep that from happening.

I like mine. I was going for a distressed looking sig. But with the new guidelines, I can up the sig size, so it's back to Photoshop. I'm thinking something simpler.
MindFad, how did you get your sig to change every once in awhile. Did you change those manually, or what?

IF Zimph ever checks his PM, I'll show you my new sig. I spent awhile masking some stuff, getting a texture, and adding some interesting highlights. That's why I think the 3 best Photoshop features are Layer Styles, blending modes, and Levels.

Ya gotta keep a backup of this stuff. Just do this. In the Documents folder, make a folder called "Archives", then in that folder make "Photoshop", then "Web Picture". It's the best way I found to keeping some of this stuff I make in order, without the software.
