I'm looking to max out the RAM on my 12" Powerbook (it arrives today) and I was wondering if anyone had any experience at ramseeker. It looks REALLY shady ( ), but the prices for a gigabyte stick of RAM are the cheapest I've found. I find it hard to trust sites that have huge advertisements everywhere and lots of animations and etc. - But like I said, it's cheap stuff.

Any experience with any of the stores from RAMseeker?

Or should I just go with Crucial?

Thanks!

I've used 1800-4-Memory several times and have no complaints. Ramseeker is just a link page to the dealers.

Which is why I asked if you had experience with the companies.

I should have been more specific, sorry.

I'd steer clear of Data Memory Systems. We've bought a lot of memory from them, and the failure rate is higher than I'd like. They're pretty good about returns, but the reason we know that is we've had to do it quite often.

I've had some good experinces with 18004memory. I ordered a 512 Stick of RAM for my Powerbook. Since I'm in NJ and they shipped from NJ it got here the next day and I paid almost nothing for shipping it UPS ground.

What are their prices like. You can currently get a 1gb stick of pc2700 or pc2100 from newegg for $201 shipped... kingmax brand (which is a fairly reliable brand from my experience).

Ramseeker is awesome. And you can't go wrong with 1-800-4-MEMORY. They asked *me* what the price should be.
