I'm having trouble maintaining a consistent connection between my PowerBook and a wireless internet connection. Using the same ethernet jack, my PowerBook connects fine when wired but when I use my wireless router (gateway mode, no IPs being distributed) the internet connection tapers off after I load one webpage. After that it's too slow for use at all. Annoying, to say the least. I don't think the problem is the connection because the express plays music without any trouble. It's the internet connection itself. Are there any sort of settings I can change or optimizations that I could run to fix the problem? I've been using this setup for the past few weeks with no trouble but this has happened several times in the last week.

This is a 12" 1.33ghz PowerBook with AirPort Extreme.

If I can provide any other information to help diagnose the problem, please let me know.

Thanks,

-blake.
