Hi All,
A client has asked me if I can encode some video I've edited for him into Real or .wmv formats for streaming (off a custom platform).
Is anybody doing this, and what software do you recommend?
Thanks in advance for any help,
Chas

Check this out. It works in any app that can export using quicktime. And it's free. Other alternative is Cleaner 6.

Just to add that Cleaner 6 does Windows Media, but only version 7 format. It will do Real export in OS 9, but not OS X. Of course that's no longer an issue, now that the Real export plug-in is available.
Telestream have announced a plug-in/codec giving OS X support for encoding WM 7,8 & 9, but it's not shipping yet.

Sorenson Squeeze will do Real, but only does Windows Media on the PC.
