How many times a day do you check the Apple Store (provided that you ordered your copy of OS X from them) to see if OS X has changed from "Being Assembled" to "Preparing to Ship"?

Honestly I do this about 4 times a day.

Any other continual checkers out there?

I do when I order a new system, but not for OS X. It'll ship on March 23 so it prob won't change status until the 22nd or even the 23rd.

Umm... me.

Even if I already have a tracking number for my order, and I already know that it will ship from Ireland on the 21st and arrive here on the 26th.

So I:

check at the Apple Store website
check at Irish Express Cargo website
check at that funny Track-n-Trace website
 check at the TNT website

Hi, I'm APC and.... I'm a compulsive order status checker

Ya I am certain they will actually ship it a week early, so I check 4 times a day too.

Do all your orders show up? My orders haven't been updated in weeks... the TiBook that arrived about a week ago shows online up as "partially shipped" (had a digital camera in the order as well)

I did pay the 10 bucks for Saturday delivery also and it states that it is to be shipped "Fed EX Saturday Delivery" on the order. I ordered on 02/02/01 which is -I believe- the first day you could pre order.

I do it once a day, just for kicks. I know it won't be updated for at least 4-5 days now, but there's something about the excitement of OSX that keeps me checking.

I just got off the phone w/ Apple Store. I called to xhange my shipping from UPS to Fed-X, and I was told it had already been upgraded to Fed-X/Sat; the woman said they wanted everyone to have it by the 24th.

Whether she meant EVERYONE everyone, or just the real early birds, I dunno....

Still being assembled, btw...and still says UPSH

Check your order by going to the Apple Store website, select 'My Account', log in, click on 'Order status / History', and then click on the order.

I check my status once a day, but that's just because I requested UPS and I was seeing if it would be upgraded to FedEx Saturday. I just checked and it was upgraded. That is so sweet!!! Anyone have a list of all Apple Employees and their addresses, I'm getting a strange urge to give 'em all a big kiss

Well, it seems that I just talked to the "slowest" apple store rep of all time...

But that's not what I am complaining about. I was wondering if it was only people in the US that are getting their shipping upgraded? I live in Canada and it was hard enough to order OSX...now they don't seem to be upgrading us either? My order still says UPS ground :-(

I've checked a couple of times, but my order is not registered on my account. Very weird. I talked to the Apple Store Sweden and they have confirmed that my order is healthy. Hmmm... We'll see if it arrives on the 26th or if I have to pull a few strings to acctually get it.

Hey, I ordered on the 13th of this month and it has been upgraded so I assume that all US orders have been upgraded.

I ordered just this week, and yet I just checked and I was upgraded too.

Theory: purchasers of the PB get the FedEx Sat upgrade as a thank-you.

Seems like everyone in the US is going to be upgraded! I ordered just on the 12th of this month; I did not get the PB because I didn't have a machine capable of running it at that time.

Thank you Apple!

You're theory is probobally wrong. I also ordered it this week and it got upgraded to FedEx. I did not order the Public Beta. I just got the student discount.

Though it is now moot, Duff, I'd like to point out that you *have*, in effect, paid for the PB by buying the initial release at 69$ when it could be 39$, the difference being attributable to the exact cost of the PB.

And my conscience is clear.
