Scarcely pausing for breath, Vroomfondel shouted, "We DON'T demand solid facts! What we demand is the total ABSENCE of solid facts. I demand that I may or may not be Vroomfondel!"

Cool!
I've never understood why Cisco doesn't make their VPN software generally available. Makes absolutely no sense to me, since you've got to have a Cisco VPN concentrator for it to do you any good, anyway.

A word of warning: If you have the CiscoVPN software installed, a CD you make with BootCD will crash on startup. You have to mount the .dmg and delete CiscoVPN.kext from the Extensions folder on the CD before burning it.
Yeah, this is slightly off-topic, but I just thought people might like to know about it...

I am making progress. Thanks to all.
Looks like I have a Nortel VPN and I need a "security certificate".
Where on my PC can I find one so I can get the settings and transfer that to the Mac. I did download the Nortel VPN Contivity and I can plug in thje values there. I am hoping on the PC, there is some document that I can get those values from.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks again

They have an OSX client that I use with my company Nortel Contivity VPN solution. Works great, BUT, it costs $99 or so.
As far as the Cisco client (should you need that later), you simply get an account on www.cisco.com and then logon and then download it from the software downloads section.
There are strict controls on VPN hardware/software. That is why you just can't download it from everywhere.

Why doesn't the built-in VPN-client support Cisco's VPN?

Probably because Cisco doesn't allow it.
