you're not alone.

since i am [family] along in this country i went to a friend's house for christmas dinner, they bought me a dvd. a friend from london mailed me a very nice hoodie; which should arrive tomorrow.

i ended up buying myself some gifts. i got a nintendo ds with mario 64 ds, and then today a friend and i went to buy some warm clothes for a holiday to very cold temperatures that we will be going on next week. got two pairs of 'snowboard' type pants, a new hockey stick and a ball.

ba humbug

I am a little too old to have people buy me video games anymore and to be honest I don't really need things now that I am done with school and have a good job. The only computer hardware that was given this Christmas was an eMac that I got for my little sister which is the way it should be because presents should be about kids not adults.
My main gift from my mom was tickets to Vegas and the cost of the hotel for when I get vacation time because she thinks I work too much and my aunt got my cousin the same thing so we could go together. My grams got my diplomas reframed in really nice frames so they match. My younger sisters got me a photo printer that makes nice prints which was good of them. The rest were just practical gifts though.

Oh, and I got this. Which was a really thoughtful gift.

Ah, Montblanc lovely, my dad got a Montblanc belt for Christmas.

I got: Stanley Kubrick DVD collection (9DVDs)
The Italian Job box with the real one and the new one.
Malena DVD
La vita bella DVD
La meglio giuvent DVD
Verdi: Falstaff DVD (opera)
a "greatest hits" opera CD (6CDs in one)
A holder for my cellphone for in the car.
The Astond Martin accesory book
and some money

And you could say I got an Airport Extreme BS as well (my dad didn't need it anymore at his office). But it wasn't really a "christmas gift".

got way more than I expected/wanted.

Christmas was more about what I gave, rather than what I got.

The best Christmas gift was the beautiful weather in Southern California, 70 degrees and clear the entire time I was there.
