I have an existing 300GB External drive and a Wireless server that my new mini will need to access for trading files etc. Both drives are formatted in NTFS. Will the Mac read and write to these drives or do they have to be reformatted to Fat32 ?

Windows Networking under OS X will read NTFS partitions without any problems. It should work just fine.
