I wish there was a way to have this look without filling your Sidebar to the max. Check this out... it's more iTunes-ish. I made a Mockup to show what I mean.



Looks a lot more like iTunes like this. Way cool! Can it be done?

Smaller icons/text instead of shrinking/stretching to fit.

Nice idea... I like it.

No way that I know of though....

I dig it. Now to find a way...

Frankly, I�m still a believer that the sidebar is a complete waste of screen real estate and does much to destroy the "spatial Finder." I wish there was way to disable it entirely.

To dislike Sinatra is a sign of highly questionable taste. To dislike the Beatles is a serious character flaw.

I'm talking on a global level (as opposed to on a window by window basis).

I don't see why you need to. How many windows do you need open at the same time? Can't you just make the icons smaller in size?
