I took the 2.5" Hard Drive out of my old laptop and just bought a "Smart Drive" USB 2.0/Firewire case for it. The only problem is that I don't see any way to connect the heard drive to the case. However, it looks as if the small connection that Apple uses to connect it to the laptop is covering up the larger, standard IDE connector. Should I pull this off, or will that ruin the hard drive?

If this doesn't make any sense, I can try to post some pictures.

Nevermind, that's what I needed to do. But does anybody have any tips for getting stuck screw out? One of the screws Apple put in the side of the hard drive won't come out, but it has to in order to fit in the case.
