Well It's 8:37 as I type this, I'll be heading to Safeway to buy my train food soon... my train leaves at noon... if you camp out at the store around midnightish you'll probably see me and not recognize me. But anyway... if you see a large guy in a nice burgundy long sleve shirt witha tie on his pants it's me come up to me and either smack me or hug me... I just wanna be recognized... oh I've got highlights now too... if I were really think I'd post a photo but I won't

...I'm not sure it'll be possible to 'camp' outside the store. Maybe not even in front of the mall, but good luck to you.

a tie on his pants and highlights in his hair - Get it right now.

It's important to look good for an Apple Store opening.
One should never stop striving for clarity of thought and precision of expression.

Which Safeway? There have got to be a dozen in the city.. or should I just to random grocery stores and tackle people until I find you?

My guess is he's going specifically for the train ride, and to visit Toronto.

I really like the "tie on his pants" part.

This is like the country cousin who comes to visit the city and is over-dressed. There is no reason to put on a tie to visit an Apple store, not even Steve Jobs would do such a thing.

Only 1500 km.

For the Americans. He's going the equivalent distance of North Dakota to New York State.

Heh. I'm still debating whether or not to go, cuz I have to do some shopping (for non-computer stuff) anyway and it's only a 25 minute drive there. I don't really have anything better to do...

Hey, no not overly dressed, I'm always well dressed. And I'm from freaking Winnipeg, sure it's a heck of a lot smaller than Toronto but... hardly the country. And the tie will be on my pants, between my first and second belt loops on the left side.

And WD I'd consider it an honour to meet you too.

That said I won't be able to be there until about almost 8 tomorrow so I'm missing out on the whole late night camping thing... but I just got in at like 10 pm, finally got my ride at a lil before midnight. So yah... I"m just kinda tired and am gona enjoy sleeping until 6 or so. By the way everyone was warning me about getting mugged and stuff like that... this place seems barely different than Winnipeg, I doubt anyone would mug me... crazy parents.

[I am 18, 19 on june 2nd]

When I got a job in Boston last summer, my mom was really worried that something was going to happen to me. I am a legal adult and this is what she said to me: "Don't get stabbed". Huh? I thought up to that point that I wanted to get stabbed? Anyway, Here I am, still working in the city and I have yet to get stabbed. Maybe I should try harder...

Anyway, thats a long ass trip. Hope you enjoy it after all that.

yeah, i grew up in the big smoke and have been back as recently as last november...as long as you avoid certain trouble areas and generally keep to yourself and don't go looking for trouble toronto is pretty safe...wasn't there some stats a while back that said winterpeg actually has a higher per capita murder rate than toronto?

i'd love to be at an apple store opening and if they even get one in vancouver i will go (i know we will never see one in victoria). i just got home fom london and while there visited the regent street store...it was jam packed with customers, lined up to pay for their purchases..pretty impressive!

I dread the train journey from London to Edinburgh, it takes around 5 hours but it seems to last forever. By the looks of the map, it seems that your journey is around 3x as long.. I hope you brought along a DS or PSP or Shuffle or anything to kill the time, because that seems like a incredibly long train ride.

it's easier for you to think it's a "wacko Canadian" thing rather than a wacko SC thing?

actually, on my pants is the *only* way i would wear a tie...much better than around the neck like a noose. maybe i will try that one day and see how it goes over at work...but i will have to buy/borrow a tie to try it out.

You are the perfect candidate for the clip-on tie
