I just bought a 12" powerbook last night. Everything was fine for the first hour or so, but then the screen suddenly turned a significant shade of purple and there was graphic corruption in the form of streaks. It lasted for about 5-10 minutes, and then worked fine again for the rest of the night. This morning, I was greeted with the same corruption when I turned on the computer and it lasted about 20 min. I'm not sure if it's a hardware or software bug... has anyone else seen this happen?

Thanks.

Call Apple. It sounds like a bad logic board.

I shipped a Powerbook 5300 to someone, and when she got it, it showed "bands of color" on the screen. *sigh* Isn't it sad when stuff doesn't work?
