I'm finding that Tiger even though set to will not automatically log me in. It brings up the login screen instead.

Is this a bug? has anyone else seen or have a solution to this?

Are you running Server? Do you have a machine on your network running OS X Server?

Nope, not running server or even connected to a server. I have the Automatically Login As... checked with me selected (no other user accounts). I always get the login screen?

Make sure "Disable automatic login (for all accounts on this computer)" is unchecked in System Preferences -> Security.

You can also try turning the feature OFF and then back on.

Nope. The Diasable automatic login in Security wasn't checked and I tried the toggling of features with a restart inbetween and I still always get a login screen.

Any other ideas? Corrupt prefs file?

You can use plutil -s [filename].plist to check the validity of a given plist file.
