Again ?

I could swear I've seen a thread about this before, but I'm too tired to search now. I'm going home. Worked almost 12 hours, I need a beer...

A thread with "Aria" in the title and no images? I am disappointed.

On a similar note, don't forget that the BBC is broadcasting all 9 of Beethoven's symphonies performed by the BBC Symphony and conducted by Gianandrea Noseda on radio3. After they have been performed they are available for download as mp3 files. The first 5 symphonies are already available at http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio3/beethoven/downloads.shtml

Those godless communists at NPR had a nice piece on the Bach aria this morning. Quite interesting, historically. He was just an organist at that point, and was trying to solicit compositional work from the roayal court, so he penned this short piece to impress a Duke on his birthday. It's a very early work.

When a true genius appears in the world you may know him by this sign, that the dunces are all in confederacy against him. -- Jonathan Swift.

I suppose brilliance truly is relative.
Good news. Speaking of classical music, anyone ever hear that song Toccata from ELP's Brain Salad Surgery? It's some adaptation by Alberto Ginastera. That's the ****. Emerson+Palmer=Bliss

CD? I hope you mean CD.
I thought it was 200x50…
I have a feeling that you're yanking my chain.

Actually, I spent some time tripping up some of my favorite album art. I'm surprised someone actually recognized it as the cover of In The Court Of The Crimson King.
Look at the Tull one. I must say, I believe that it looks pretty damn good, considering what it once was.

PM me if ya wanna see the other ones I did, Zimph.
Like this one.
I even did an SRV one.

In a good or bad way? I notice that you are the organ guy, so I hope you appreciate the prodigious Keith Emerson. I hope.
