Poor spelling annoys me the most. I know we all make mistakes, but some are continually making them.

Oh, c'mon. We're kinda sorry. Woof! See? All bark. No nips yet! Really, check your knickers. No holes.
Stay.

I don't know if he's talking about himself or FloydWHO as being the leavee.
I'd hate 2 lose docbud for sure. But as for FloydWHO, well I'd hate to see him leave, certainly, but the question is, what would make someone just leave like that??? It's like trying to explain lemmings going over the cliff.
Between the two of them I think docbud would be most missed. FloydWHO least missed. And as for me, I'm grateful I wasn't long ago dis-missed.
But, trust me, that is better than being Miss dissed!

I don't 'think' I 'know' people are dumb. I went to a small liberal arts college, and I was quite surprised by the horrible writing skills of my fellow college students. This from a guy who always pulled all nighters to do papers.

Um--no Millenium--I was talking about Floyd WHO, and got the impression he was leaving due to some of the comments made here.
While I mainly hang out at a smaller forum, I like MacNN alot. I'm mainly a lurker, though. But I do know how members of a forum can become a clique and while it's a great thing, it also tends to drive away newbies.
I suppose I feel bad that Floyd WHO feels it necessary to leave (if he does).

Thanks Eynstyn
Though I'm not a big poster here (as I explained earlier--I belong to a small forum and that's my second home), I do enjoy MacNN and will be posting here more often.
And thanks again

I JUST figured it out.
Floyd goes to a forum and signs up under some given name and WHO. So as to build his own ego he says it stands for the World Health Organization. Then, using any slight he deems sufficient, he leaves, greatly piqued. Those left behind quickly forget he was ever there or pretend they've forgotten him; any references to him are answered with the subtle dissmissive, "Floyd WHO?"

I just thought your "just figuring it out" thing was a stretch.
I'm not making any bones at your expense or anyone else's.
And you are quite the witty one, Grasshopper

Have you or has anyone ever pointed out the level of obscenity the town in your location ALMOST achieves? It mixes two epithets and an insult...almost.
Location: Fukuyama-shi, Japan
No, make that two almost insults and one almost epithet.
Oh, and for the record the A-Bomb made Japan understand continued fighting was (Fuku yama - shi) futile.
Was the town named by a group of African-American servicemen?
