is the 1.5 version worth getting if i don't need the extra ram or speed

Ummm.. Don't the 15" only come in 1.5 and 1.67 now? I doubt that for most uses that there would be much of a difference.

I'm guessing he has access to a choice of used computers.

I'd say go with the 1.33. You're not going to notice a 170MHz bump, and with the $ you'd save you should just dump it into more RAM.

This is a laptop, after all, not a G5.

not at all.. two finger scrolling.. no

But, I would say that the extra VRAM may prove to be helpful in the future..

Do this, get the 1.33 like me, add a gig stick of ram for 120 bucks @ newegg and get a 5400 rpm hd... it'll smoke a stock 512RAM/4800 rpm HD... leaps and bounds

I also have a 1.5 with 768 ram that I'm basing this off..
