Is there any easy way to have flash pull text and images out of a mysql database? Or would I be better sticking with php? or just making the flash with static text..?

I've already tried google. I couldn't find just a plain basic script that pulls text. All I found were more complicated ones I couldn't figure out.

I'd say you should buy this book. It's a Foundation level book, so it won't be too complicated for you, but you'll learn loads.

I don't, as I'm not right next to my book shelf at the moment, so I can't check. I'll try and think on to have a look when I'm home.

I know that the author, David Powers, is usally to be found on the friends of ED forum, so you might find an answer on there.
