Hi, got a second hand Dual 2.0 to keep me going until Mactels are out. I have two small problems-
1. As the chirping was driving me mad I installed CHUD and disabled Nap. Worked brilliantly, but when I restart I have to re-disable Nap. Is this normal behavior? Is there a start up script available to do this for me?
2. I have the jelly fish shaped harmon kardon sub from my G4. But the sub output doesn't seem to work very well- it is always full up when I restart, If I move it down it is ok until I change volume using the keyboard and then it goes back up to full power again. Is there anyway round this behavior?
Other than that it is great!

Question #1 -- Yes, the NAP turns back on when you restart. Do a google search for the shell command, and then add it to your list of login items.
Question #2 -- Hmmm. You may want to try opening up Audio Midi Setup (do a Spotlight search for that) and mess around in there.

I have an Apple Script that another poster provided. I can post it tonight when I get home, or look for the really long Chirp thread in this forum. I believe it is still posted there. I think you can just add the script to run on Login. I do my manually and usually only when I play WoW.

Apple Script #1 - named it: Silence (chirp off)
do shell script "hwprefs cpu_nap=false"
Apple Script #2 - named it: Squel (chirp back on)
do shell script "hwprefs cpu_nap=true"
I think when I saved them I choose File Format: Application.
