Check out this link. The way Vista will deliver video to the hardware is being designed and restricted by Hollywood. The result, among other things, will be poorer computer performance for users.
Microsoft is even giving the US movie studios veto power over Vista's features. Could there be a more anti-user company than Microsoft?

If this sort of DRM is mandatory to play future media content, I'm willing to bet Apple follows Microsoft's lead (out of necessity).
The intel-switch pissed me off, but a move like that would push me over the edge.
Maybe I'll go FreeBSD. AmigaOS4 even.

Well, I'm going to assume you're talking about CSS and the person who took responsibility for cracking it (Jon Johansen) is currently making life difficult for Apple in relation to the iTunes Music Store's encryption (Not in jail).

What makes you think you should say anything in this matter ?

Actually, it's because I think the vast majority of the people on this forum whine too much. And I wasn't "to dumb" to follow the sig rules, I blatantly and knowingly broke them. Big difference.

The saddest people here are the ones who just couldn't click the "report" button and advise an admin about the sig size WITHOUT derailing a perfectly interesting thread. No these post whores had to honk their horn. You know who you are.

I'm not upgrading to Vista. People complain to me asking why I still run Windows 2000. Because there is nothing wrong with W2k and it runs all the latest software just fine.
