It saves daylight, silly! Although I don't know what to do with the extra daylight. I already save it in jars during the summer...

You're supposed to save it for winter! Man, all your sunlight is just sitting there rotting away in jars.

Of course I save it for winter, it's the only sunlight we ever get!

Since I see you're on the "sunny" side of the lake, maybe you could send some jars over here on the ferry sometime? That boat has to get used for something....

Sure, no problem! My new place has lots of windows, so I'll put a few jars out for ya.

Bush did it so we'd have more daylight time to catch internal terrorists.

Extending the amount of daylight during the workday supposedly reduces our dependency on artificial light. It's expected to save a lot of energy (hopefully.)

This is all such BS. I hate daylight savings time altogether. Why do we need to change the clocks to get up earlier?

Heck, just get it over with and make it affective year round. I hate changing my sleep and clocks twice a year.

Is the whole state of Indiana not effected by DST or just part of it?

I think that the whole thing is a joke. Just government intruding into our lives without any benefit.

Most of it doesn't observe DST, with a few northernmost counties (near Chicago) that do. I went to Purdue...same time zone all year round!
