I've just got my new iMac, and its AMAZING

But...

2 things:

1) If I leave my computer for a while, not asleep (say downloading a file from internet) when I return it will be at the log in screen. It appears to have logged out, all by itself. I'm running OS X with all updates. the only thing I thought it could be is that I have "Restart automatically after a power failure" checked in the energy saver, but we haven't had any power failures here in a long time.

2) Next to the USB ports on my keyboard there appear to be 2 lights (1 for each). Are they indeed lights, and are they supposed to be on at any time, as mine are always off.

Any help appreciated.

Tom

Those are not lights, they are screwholes.

Perhaps OS X is just taking you to log in screen after it reboots (odd),

anyhoot, good luck.

Are you talking about the real login screen or a login window popping up under your screen saver?

what are your "power saver" settings at? Something there could be funky...
The short shall inherit the earth. Just you wait. You won't see us coming. We'll pop out from under tables, beds, and closets in hordes. So you're tall, huh? You won't be so tall when I chew off your ankles. Mofo

You know I never would have never thought abou tthe screen saver thing. OI vey this one kid at school had the screen saver set with his name on it. He's like a druggy PC user, who's does NOT know how to configure a Mac. Anyway, people like him shouldn'e be allowed to use a Mac.
But uhh yeah, I had to change that right away, his name should have never been on the iMac... any where... poor tainted baby. It'll be OK if he dosn't take the course next year.
Sometimes I cry for those poor lab iMacs. Always abused, and told they suck just because some idiot dosn't realize quicktime wasn't ment to play MP3s in playlists.

Poor.... poor iMacs
