I've given in to nano envy and ordered one from amazon. I'm also going to order an invisble shield but saw that there are two versions: one that covers the click wheel and one that does not. Just wanted to hear if anybody can share their experience with the two versions. Does the one that covers everything interfere in any way with the actual clicking/depression of the clickwheel. It would seem that if the wheel moves that it would eventually lead to that the invisible shield would detach .

Any thoughts appreciated...

Thanks

I dont have hands on experience, but just ordered one. As far as i can tell, the 'shield should give you enough "give" to allow the clickwheel depression. I recently had a ipodwrap, similar to the 'shield (no lifetime guarantee) on my clickwheel ipod and it worked fine, in fact, it made the clickwheel a bit more exact.

I ordered a 'shield for my wifes "soon-to-own" nano as well as my soon-to-own vPod.

I didn't know they have one that doesn't cover the click wheel.

At any rate I got the one that does and it doesn't interfere with the clicking at all.

You can use it either way as the sticker for the wheel is cut out. It doesn't effect the way it performs at all.

Thanks guys. I ordered the 'whole' shield - I'm sure it will be fine and much better than a naked nano...

After applying the invisible shield on my new video iPod, I tested its strength and made a video of it.
