My Wallstreet has has been tempermental in booting up recently (have to reset PRAM often) and now it won't boot at all.
Will buying a new PRAM battery help it boot?
I'd rather not spend the $30 on a battery if the Powerbook is now truly dead, since I'll probably get an Intel iBook/Powerbook.

It's a Wallstreet Series II 233mhz/512k

Well, especially if the PRAM battery was ever left to drain totally ("deep discharge"), it could have been damaged and no longer hold a proper charge, causing the problem. (The PRAM battery in the PowerBook is a small LiIon battery, not a disposable lithium cell like in desktops.)

But yeah, your symptoms do sound consistent with a PRAM battery problem.
