Pete Doherty's prison diaries have been printed by a national newspaper.

The Guardian has printed extracts from the diary of the Babyshambles frontman penned while he was on remand in prison.

Doherty writes that he felt: "like a freak show" in prison, as other inmates screamed his name: "like apes" at his cell door.

Any idea if these got published anywhere on the net? I'd love to read them somewhere (no access to newspaper today :/)

He's a loser just because he blew it with Kate Moss.

I see paint-cracked walls stained with shite
Long long lock-up days
Cold lonely nights
And I think to myself ... what a wonderful world
No wonder she left him.

Let me add this.

I think he's talented. There's no doubt about it. He's also intelligent and I think he's a poet as evidenced by his writings.

But his drug habit and inability to kick it - despite having a lot of money to ENABLE him to kick it - make him a loser in my small little book.

Some people self medicate. If that is the case, it's not the drug that is the problem.

Lots of "talented" and "gifted" people also have mental issues.

We all do actually, just some more severe than others.

Cody, once you are an addict, you will always be an addict.

Now having said that, there is a way to rid yourself of such messes. He is just still looking.

Pete Doherty is an exceptional poet. I have so much respect for the guy - Libertines, Babyshambles - pure genius.

I was an addict.

To prescription drugs.

To that extent I don't use them now unless absolutely necessary and now I have control, but for a long time I didn't. I was working as a model and a physician I was dating gave me whatever I wanted. It took professional help to beat the addiction - and saying "I want to quit."

I also don't drink for that reason. I'm prone to become an alcoholic for the same reason.

The last time I had a drink was at the holidays and I had two glasses of wine.

Before that...

???

Can't remember.

So were you a loser when you were addicted? Probably not. Just human.

No, I was a LOSER.

I didn't like myself - make that DESPISED myself - and I got help and to do that I quit taking narx, quit my job and went to college instead, and moved to a healthier environment where I reformed friendships. It took a lot of effort but I thank God in heaven today that I did it because my life is bangin now.

I'm very proud of you Cody. Shows that you have discipline and will power. My dear friend.

I tried to call you back, WDLove, but I think you were having lunch?

I'll ring you this weekend.

Now, yes, ANYONE can beat an addiction and Pete Doherty reminds me of Cobain. What a huge loss Cobain is, eh?

We'd rather have him alive than dead, no?

So he should get his "shite" together and get some help. Like Kate Moss did.

Cobain had bipolar disorder, and those that should have been helping him, did not, but was promoting his behavior. (They make money either way) When they decided to help, it was too late, and they went about it the wrong way.

you have zero self esteem and need to belittle others to make yourself feel better.

I've spoke with Cody. She has plenty of self esteem. I disagree with her here as well, but you don't see me personally attacking her do you?

That fact that people like you are idolising (or even defending) tossers like Doherty is exactly what's wrong with this country.

Didn't mean albums. But yes, I've hit higher than 4 on the singles a couple of times (production wise).

Impressive. But remember that Stock, Aitken and Waterman can say the same thing.

Who is Pete Doherty? Is he in prison? *confused*

I don't know what's wrong with me, but I always pictured Cubeoid, wdlove and Cody Dawg communicating via IRC, or some chat program. It never occurred to me that they might actually use a phone! Furthermore, I don't even know what the point of this post is.. how about the original question?

Celebrity junky who occasionally plays guitar (badly) and writes poetry (not quite as badly, but nowhere near proficiently).

Probably not worth your time.

Actually I specialise in rock. But when those nice major labels turn up with some work it's stupid to turn them down.

Since almost every band on the face of the planet is better than that heap of poop, it's not that hard.

But let's put it this way: Dave Stewart (the Eurythmics chappie) has bought me a pizza more than once.

Neat, that guy always came off as "creepy" to me for some reason.

Then so did Annie.
