I have a powerbook 12" that is about 2 1/2 years old. I have this really annoying where every time I go somewhere sunny (like the caribbean) and I try to use my laptop in the sunlight I can't see anything! It's like my display is at the lowest level, and I have tried adjusting the brightness! Does anyone else have this problem? Will this happen with the Macbook Pro?

The MacBook Pro will be better in sunlight. The brightness of the 12-inch PowerBook is probably around 150 nits. The MacBook Pro's screen is 300 nits.

Destructive interference of light waves. The sun's like has a way larger amplitude than the light from your PB's display. The sun's light gives our Earth life, so its sho strong enough to make your PB look dim

Yea Man,
Most likely, your monitor is putting out just as much light in the Caribbean as it would in a cave...
Stars are beautiful and bright at night, but invisible during the day! Do they go to sleep during the day?

the same thing happens with stars during the day that happens to your ability to see your laptop's screen in broad daylight
