I came across this particular monitor, a Xerox, in a MicroCenter store last week. It's wide-aspect, 19" diagonal, receives DVI input, and has a resolution of 1440 X 900.

This is the same resolution, though larger in diameter, as the 17" iMac. To my knowledge, I've never before seen a wide-aspect monitor that was in the 17 - 19" range without going down to what's basically just a television monitor at 768 pixels vertical.

The best thing is that this is a very large savings over the Apple 20" and even the Dell 20" monitors. It can be purchased through this week for $270 after rebate, $300 otherwise.

Here's the link to their online store listing:

Looks like it's recently been removed from their website but since I saw it in one of their stores it may still be available on location.

The ViewSonic is also $300.
