So I'm trying to pair my Treo 650 with my MacBook Pro. I turned on bluetooth, enabled DUN, etc. In OS X, the Bluetooth Setup assistant sees the phone, I select it, and then it sits there saying it's gathering information about the device. The phone immediately prompts me for a passcode when I select it in the bluetooth setup assistant, but OS X never gives me a passcode to enter.

Anyone else paird a phone (or even a Treo 650) with their MacBook yet?

Yes, took several tries and is still somewhat flaky. The other issue is that once it did work, there were zero profiles available, while there are two or three available on my Powerbook. Weird...

So how'd you get it to work-- just kept trying or what?

I haven't messed with it much since I posted this thread. I may try this tonight, however-- someone suggested on the forums at apple that the following may work:

-soft reset the Treo
-turn on the phone
-turn on bluetooth
-turn dial-up networking on
-then pair the Treo FROM the Mac.

Good luck-- and if it works for you let me know. I'll try to remember to try this as well.

Are you using Missing Sync?

No, I've never used missing sync.... I simply wanted to use DUN on my Treo to connect to the internet in locations where I don't otherwise have internet access.

In any case, still no luck, even soft-resetting and following the steps above.
