I have an airport express to extend the wireless network in my house. The actual cable is upstairs and the express is downstairs. If I put the 360 downstairs, can I plug a cable from the express to the 360 and have the 360 connected to the network? Just trying to save myself $100 from getting the wireless thing for the 360. Thanks.

P.S. Thanks for closing the other thread tooki and not moving it, even though this is about two PERIPHERALS and whether or not I can plug a cord from the express not the 360. My NETWORK is set up fine. I hate how you close random ass threads seemingly for your own pleasure. At least move it if you feel it's not in the right place (which in this case is an extremely borderline topic). Damn.

It should work, as long as your base station is an Airport Extreme--the Airport Express can only extend the network of Apple base stations, although it can stream music from any router (according to Apple).

Should be able to configure it to work.

And to the poster above me, you're able to extend the network of any router that supports WDS and 128bit encryption. Not just aiport extreme.

Just be careful if you're using 3rd party firmware on your router
