Anyone else experiencing an issue syncing their iPod with iTunes on their MacBooks? I just transitioned to the new MacBook. iTunes seems to work perfectly until I try to sync with my iPod. To play it safe, I restored my iPod (60 Gig, Video) to factory settings, ran the latest iPod updater, and then tried to sync. It crashed a few times about 1000 songs in the transfer. In total, I'm trying to load about 40 Gigs of music onto it so it isn't a space issue. I'm going to delve into the iTunes logs this weekend but thought I'd check first to see if I was the only one with this issue.

Does the USB port act normally with other peripherals? Try using the other port also.

You are not the only person experiencing this issue. I think this is an Apple issue.

Thanks for the link. I sourced my own problem to an external, bus powered USB drive that held the bulk of my library. I think that when the Apple screensaver went on, it was reducing the power to the drive causing iTunes to freeze. I turned off my screensaver last night and the 40 Gig sync worked perfectly.
