Is there any CPU upgrades for the Dual 867 Mirrored drive door model? Simple as that, I've searched but cannot find a real answer.

Thanks!!

Gigadesigns used to make a dual 1.42 7455 upgrade, but they're hard to find now. The best bet is to try to find an Apple OEM dual 1.42 on eBay. Good luck.

I've been looking for the same thing. I've got a dead cpu and need an exchange. Would a dual 800 work? Can I order the part from apple?

So the only way to get one is through through a third party huh? Do you happen to know if other oem cpu's are compatible with the MDD G4?

Look here to see what processors were offered with your model:

I think the rule of thumb with Mac processor upgrades is that if you have a MDD model, you're stuck with Apple OEM processors, unless you luck up and find the elusive Gigadesigns model.

Here's a company who sells Apple OEM processors, but you're not going to like the price...

Dual 1.42 for MDD (Ouch!)

Your best bet is to try eBay, I think.
