Hey everybody,

I have a 3-week old MacBook 2.0, white. It's incredible in most every way but I am beginning to notice something a little strange in the screen. It seems there are, for lack of a better description, bubbles appearing behind the glossy coating. Right in the center and toward the upper right side. You can especially see them when the screen is off and dark and there is a slight shadow when it is in use. I haven't used any cleaners on the screen or jarred it in any way and I don't see any way of causing this to happen from a user standpoint. It simple looks like the glossy coat is beginning to separate from the rest of the screen material behind it. I am planning on getting over to the Apple Store by the weekend but since it's an hour + away, it's tough to get there during the work week. Wondering if they will be able to exchange this machine since it's past the 14-day return or if they'll want to send it in which would not be possible as I need it for work daily.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has noticed anything like this with their MacBook. I have looked around at some forums and haven't seen anything along these lines so hopefully it's just a fluke. A little scary tho because this is my second MB... the first one would not even boot up when I got it home and it was replaced by this one. Maybe third time will be the charm???

Return it and demand a replacement. Put it back in the box nicely the way it was, though. They check those things.
Please keep in mind the ambiguously selective general understandings we've all agreed upon...
