Hey guys,

trying to figure out if I really need the Pro or would the Macbook be ok to produce some stuff in Logic 7. It wouldn't be my only machine. I have a G5 dual 2.7 for final production and mixing... I would like to use the Macbook with Logic as a studio away from my studio from time to time.

Anybody running Logic on their Macbook Pros here? I'd like to hear about your experiences

thanks

It should be identical except for the screen size.

And of course the ExpressCard slot, should you ever need to connect to something like a Magma Chassis, to hook up UAD1 cards or somesuch.

yeah don't think that I would go that route... would pretty much stick with native plug-ins or Firewire units line Focusrite Liquid Mix or Powercore.

I'm running Logic on a Macbook Pro 2GHz, 2GB ram and I'm finding it to be just as fast as my dual G5 2GHz. Plus, native programs feel a lot faster on my Macbook, interface-waise that is. I'd say, go for it!!
