How to best partition a 40 Gig drive...

How is the best way to partition my new 40 Gig drive in my dual 500Mhz G4? Any suggestions?

Personally, I have one for my system and utilities (QT etc), one for applications in general (including internet stuff), one for games, and one to dump everything else on, including personal files. I suggest you make the system partition the first one, application 2nd one, and so on, because the further out a partition is, the slower it is. Just a recommendation as you asked.

(having utilities w/system will enable you to scan/optimize all other partitions, and if you crash bad, it generally only trash that partition...whatever you do, DON'T keep personal files on your OS partition)
G4/450, T-bird 1.05GHz, iBook 500, iBook 233...4 different machines, 4 different OSes...(9, 2k, X.1, YDL2.2 respectively) PiA to maintain...
