Sorry if this is elementary for some but how do I delete the word "Voodoo" in Fireworks and add in my own word? The file came just like this in .png format. Sorry, I'm new to this. Thanks.

if you don't have a layered file, you're going to have to erase the lettering (rubberstamp) and type in your own.

I tried using the rubberstamp tool but it just erased it and put it some place else? Man, this is confusing because I suck at it.

Ok, here's the solution thanks to Richard Veid over at Joomlashack forum.

make sure that your working on the layer1 layer and not the background layer. other then that just:

1. use the marquee tool, drag it around what you want to remove. Hit the delete key.
-this should remove everything inside the marquee tool's grey dotted box. left click once to turn off the marquee tool.

2. use the eyedropper tool to get a sample of the color you want to fill the void you just created. ie the Green.

3. Now use the paint bucket tool ... it should now be set to the green you just picked with the eye dropper... Simply click inside the void you created in setp 1 and the paint bucket should fill it.

4. use the text tool to create your text.
hope that helps... its basically the same as other paint programs.
