HI,
I just downloaded an upgrade file for an application I have. Its a 50MB Disk Image but I can't seem to mount it with Disk Copy 6.3.3. on my PB 500 (OS 9.0.4). It comes up with an error -8820: "Disk Copy can not open this type of image file" or something like that.

I tried it on an iMac running 8.6 at work and Disk Copy 6.1.2 and seems to go on that. Any suggestions?

Try dropping it onto Stuffit Expander. It works for me. It mounts it up perfectly everytime. Probably because they also make ShrinkWrap, which is shareware I believe. So if Expander doesn't work, try downloading that for a one-time use, from www.aladdinsys.com.

Best of luck.

Yep, yep. Shrink Wrap is quite useful when mounting big files. I'm not sure 'bout before, but I know that ver 3.5 of ShrinkWrap also opens Disk Copy images. Upside of using ShrinkWrap is that it mounts images MUCH faster than DiskCopy, since it doesn't check for errors and checksum...which can be a bad thing, but VERY rarely (<1% in my experience, and nothing bad enough to trash your system or anything).
