Hi,

Has anyone heard anything about plans for a universal patch for Diablo II?

It's running ok under Rosetta on my MBP, with the occasional pause, but I'd love to see it running natively.

The only information that I managed to dig up was that we can expect a patch to fix the opengl graphics problems at some stage.

Diablo II is such an old game I would think that it could run plenty fast even through rosetta. I remember playing it on my PII 300mhz machine back in the day and it seemed fine to me I can't imagine how Rosetta could bring a dual core 2ghz processor back down to anywhere near my 300mhz machine

If it plays almost perfectly in Rosetta, I don't see blizzard taking the time and effort to crack open the source and make it a UB. I imagine it's a lot more time-intensive to make a game universal than something like Comic Life, for instance.
